Default two months later--I finally received an email from COH

After two emails and almost two months later, I receive this email from COH corp:

We are sorry to hear you’ve had a negative experience with our product. We are also saddened to hear about your disappointment as our company goal is to keep our clientele happy and satisfied. I would like to reassure you this situation is very unusual as our product is made out of the highest quality denim.

Due to our return and exchange agreement with our customer (which is the retailer in which you purchased the jeans), we do not offer exchange or refunds directly to the consumer. We only make those requests for our customers (which as previously stated is the retailer in which you purchased the jeans) if its within a 6 month period. You would need to return the jeans to the store you originally purchased them from but you would also need to abide the stores return and exchange policies (by providing the store your original receipt). If their policy allows you to return them to the store, what they need to do next is call us to request for RA # in order to send us the damaged jeans back. No RA # no return will be accepted. Again please note it’s up to the stores discretion to accept the jeans back from you after their store policy expires. We thank you for maintaining yourself a loyal customer and continue to do so for many years to come.

Best Regards,
Citizens of Humanity

Too bad I bought the jeans from ebay They were NWOT too.

That's the problem with a lot of manufacturers. They don't see the end user as a customer, only the first person in the supply chain to buy from them. Lame, but not much you can do about it

I used to manage a boutique that sold COH, and this is def their policy. It's actually 7famk's policy too. I still find it shocking that people get jeans directly through seven! But I am glad they do.
