Have a great vacay!
I am reading A Time To Kill, John Grisham's first novel. I liked the Firm better. My best friend read A Time to Kill first and she liked that one better. interesting.

Haven't posted in a while! I finished the Hunger Games series which I loved and dove into a book my dad recommended (and he reads EVERYTHING!). The Passage, by Justin Cronin. It's L.O.N.G. and there is definitely a stall in the middle but I'm nearing the last 100 pages (of 764) and it is pretty darn good. Some scary stuff! Leaving for NY on Wednesday so I'm trying to finish it while trying to decide what to read next!!!

I have Bossy Pants by Tina Fey, which should be fun, but I also have all the True Blood stuff still to read! (I've read the 1st book only so far.) Also want to read Jaycee Dugard's book...

Also, my friend gave me Firefly Lane to read...anyone read that one? Comments?

Don't bother. Wait til it is on deep discount....or free. Honestly, you could skip the entire book and I can tell you the one and only thing that happens in that book that makes a difference to the story line of the series. Yeah, there is only one thing. 300 pages for one thing.

I am reading Firestorm right now, book 4 of the Weather Warden series. I really like this series.

I have read a couple complete series' in the last few weeks. I completed Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan Series, Kim Novik's Temeraire series, about a dragon. That one was weird, it's written in old style English, Like Pride and Predjudice or Jane Erye and though it was sometimes boring writing style, the story itself kept me glued. SOmethign else that is slipping my mind at the moment.

I am deep in some mindless summer reading...on book nine of the Stephanie Plum series. Love love love. Want to marry Ranger. Also there is word that there is a movie based on One For The Money starring Katherine Heigl as Stephanie in production? Supposed to be released in January. The actor playing Ranger was Franco on Rescue Me. Love love love.

I just finished Book 1 of the new series by Janet Evanovich, Wicked Appetite. I loved it. It was her typical light and kooky writing style. Reviewers hate it because it is just like her other books so has become predictable. I stopped reading the Stephanie Plum series around book 15 for this reason. Will just have to see how it goes. Of course i finished the book in 2 days, which is also typical.

I am in the process of reading Cry Wolf which is a spin off of the Patricia Briggs Mercy series. So far it is okay. I have already read books 1 and 2 (Moon Called and Blood Bound) of the Patricial Briggs Mercy Thompson series.

I might try it. I stopped on the Plum series because they just got stupid. But nerw characters adn stupid soetimes go well. together. LOL

I am re-reading the Weather Warden Series. I am not sure if I posted them here but the first is IllW ind by Rachel Caine. I really liked this series, new premise, controlling weather and Djinn or Genies and stuff, very cool, new characters, 9 books total I think.

I am actually on book Seventeen of Plum, haha. Its so completely mindless and I'm finding that's what I need at the end of the day. Seriously, I tried reading some actual LIT recently and found myself rereading the same page again and again. These days, at the end of the day I am just brainmush and need some junk food before I fall asleep. I can't wait until my brain comes back.

Heather, I have picked up Wicked Appetite in the store a few times, and I'll prob end up reading it when I run out of Plum books. I do like her writing style. Its like white bread and peanut butter. Easy to consume.

I actually went to the bookstore to buy Explosive Eighteen today, the day it was released. I feel like a giant dork. I finished Seventeen last night and couldn't imagine reading a "real" book.

Also picked up another cookbook. I read these like novels. No wonder I have food issues eh. Peas and Thank-You, another meatless cooking one. I love her blog.

I don't remember the last time I read for pleasure... school sucks the life out of me. I will have the month of May free before I start summer semester. Anyone have any recs for good books? I don't care for anything scary or too Sci-fi. And I won't have enough time to get into the Hungry Games!

I just finished To Kill A Mockingbird. We never read it in school. I wish it didn't end because I enjoyed it so much.

Now I'm reading Jenny Lawson's Let's Pretend This Never Happened.

Funny, I read To Kill a Mockingbird when I was 13 or 14, still remember it though, it was pretty good.

I am reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood vampire series by JR Ward. I got really invested in the characters and it has just the right amount of "steamy"

Which one are you on? Are you reading them in order? If you like those you will like the Demonica Series by Larissa Ione, similar without the broken up multiple story lines and brand mentions.
