Hmmmm . . . can you maybe make frozen chocolate martinis and just add some ice cream? That might be better??? It is hard to tell how the tonic would taste without trying it first . . .

if you mean tonic as in quinine water (like vodka tonic) i would skip that with chocolate and anything cream- tonic has a citrus bite to it so i don't think that would necessarily blend very well... i think maybe your best bet would be to mix a stock blend of your liquors and then as people request the martinis, just add a measure of the mix, then the milk and shake with ice. you may have a hard time keeping the "punch" chilled enough otherwise without using like a double-bowl type set up with ice in the bottom bowl. but then that melts and water goes everywhere... lol so maybe mix a few pitchers full of the liquor or if you have lots of containers and space you can just pre-make the entire martini and pour, chill and serve. as for recipes, godiva chocolate liqueur is super popular but can be pricey for a lot of people. i'm not familiar with canadian rail brands, but if you can find something like mr. boston or dekuyper creme de cacao you will be much better off $$ wise. you can use plain vodka, vanilla flavored vodka, chocolate flavored, or for a cool twist you can try orange flavored! i think vanilla may be the most popular, along with the dark creme de cacao or the godiva (white or dark) and the milk. you can always add a splash of creme de menth, too if she likes it. i would do a 4-count of vodka, a 2 or 3 count of the choco liqueur depending on what you get and that will leave you room for the milk and whatever else you would like to add. so for a stock mix just make the counts into "parts" and make sure to taste test b/c a lot of times when you add mass quantities, it messes with the flavors a bit. for garnish you can squirt chocolate syrup around the martini glass first and that will stick in whatever design you make for the duration of the drink (usually.) or you can stick little baby candy canes over the side of the glass. also, a good tip is to have a number of martini shakers on hand, not just one. that way you don't have to wash the one every single time ![]() Last edited by incagirl; 11-24-2008 at 10:36 PM.

I made something similar to what jen listed for a party I went to, except I made it all in advance and then stuck it in the frezer for a while---it won't freeze bc there will be too much alcohol in there. Also, I bought foil cupcake holders, melted some chocolate, and then painted the inside of them with the chocolate [use a cheap paintbrush] to make little serving shooters. Just paint the inside and the stick them in the freezer, wait a few minutes and then peel off the foil. Just make sure your room isn't too hot when you go to serve them.
